Today, in Tokyo, a two-day-long joint meeting of Russia's and Japan's committees for cooperation began. According to the Department of Public Relations of Russia's Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the purpose of the event is establishing business cooperation between Russian and Japanese Business people.
Russia's delegation includes Igor Yurgens, Executive Secretary of the Union, and representatives from such companies as System, Aeroflot, Energomashkorporatsiya, Intourist, MegaFon, and Vneshtorgbank. The Japanese participants include representatives from the government of Japan, the leaders of key banks, industrial groups, and such companies as Mitsubishi, Komatsu, and Fujitsu.
The meeting is sponsored by Russia's Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and Japan's Federation of Financial Organisations (Nippon Kaidanren).
