International conference on power to be held in Moscow

An international conference "Power Engineering Development Planning: Methodology, Software, Applications" will be held in Moscow between October 30th and November 1st.

Anatoly Sinyavsky, deputy-director of the department of fuel and power resources of the CIS executive committee, said that the main subject discussed at the forum will be issues of the innovative development of atomic industry branches.

The conference will be attended by representatives of Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Russia and Kirghizia, who will discuss projects and approaches in the sphere of peaceful uses of nuclear power.

Apart from that, the conference participants intend to examine the planning, modelling and managing of the competitive and secure development of the power industry, as well as the creation of a market of new technologies following the branches of the fuel and power complex of the Commonwealth member-states.

The participants in the forum will also pay due attention to the international project of nuclear technologies of natural security, as well as the drawing up and implementation of complex inter-state programs for the development of scientific-technical power industry.

The conference has been organized by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Atomic Power, the Ministry of Industry, Science and Technologies of the Russian Federation, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Central Scientific research institute of atomic information with the participation of the World Nuclear Association, CIS commissions for the use of atomic power for peaceful purposes and other organizations.
