Deputy Minister for Culture of the Russian Federation, Grigory Ivlev, believes that the cold of the Republic of Yakutia is a perfect tourist product.
The official said during the meeting with Yakutia's President Egor Borisov that both Russian nationals and foreign citizens would be interested in getting acquainted with the life in the republic during the winter season. The people, the official said, would have an opportunity to see that everything works well in Yakutia even during the time of extreme winter temperatures of 40 degrees below zero Centigrade.
"During the time of my stay here I realized that the people here are hospitable and responsive. We received very good welcome in every place that we visited in the republic," Yasia news agency quoted Ivlev as saying.
The head of Yakutia, Egor Borisov, offered the official to visit Yakutia in summer, during the celebration of the national holiday known as "Ysyah."
"You will see the scale of the national holiday, its cultural and spiritual part, and how it brings people together," Borisov said.
Grigory Ivlev said that he had heard about the Yakutian holiday from his colleagues in Moscow. The official was happy to accept to invitation.
