Vladimir Putin, the leader of Russia's ruling party United Russia, announced possible changes in the administration of the party, Pravda.Ru says.
"Office and position are not the most important things. People's trust - that's what matters. United Russia should remain the leading political force in the country and in the State Duma," Putin said in an interview with three federal TV channels.
"There should not be any favorites. Final decisions should not be made on the base of personal likes or dislikes," Putin said.
"As for the executive boards of the party, I think there will be changes there too," the prime minister also said.
Putin also commented the opinion shared by those Russians, who believe that since Putin is going to run for presidency then there will be no changes at all. "A common citizen always has a choice," Putin said.
