An overcrowded boat capsized in a river in western Nepal on Wednesday, killing two people. Twenty others were reported to be missing, the state-run Radio Nepal said.
The small boat was crossing the Rapti river near Gawarpur village, about 500 kilometers (310 miles) west of the Nepalese capital, Katmandu, when it capsized.
The boat was crowded with people crossing the river, which was flooded by monsoon rainfall, the report said, adding that at least five people were rescued by the villagers.
There were no trace of the 20 people believed to be missing and police divers were searching the flooded river.
