A bus carrying Asian tourists plunged down an embankment south of Sydney, killing two people and seriously injuring more than 20 others.
"At this stage we have two deceased and another 25 or so that we're treating for serious injuries," said ambulance spokeswoman Jennifer Pedvin.
The bus, which reportedly was carrying about 40 passengers, swerved off Jamberoo Mountain road, about 100 kilometers (60 miles) south of Sydney, at mid afternoon and rolled 10 meters (33 feet) down an embankment, Pedvin said.
New South Wales police said the bus was carrying Asian tourists, but they had no immediate confirmation of their nationalities.
At least 15 ambulances and five rescue helicopters were ferrying the injured to hospitals, the AP reports.
