Oklahoma general laborer Carl Mize, who suffers from a serious heart condition, was hit by the lightening while working at the University of Oklahoma campus.
When the storms approaching, the unlucky man's co-worker, who knew Mize had been hit by bolts three times in the past, reportedly backed away from the unlucky man, saying: "I'm getting away from you."
Soon after the storm started, a bolt struck Mize leaving the hapless man hospitalised. Mize's heart condition was worsened and his toes went numb but apart from that he was fine, FemaleFirst.co.uk reports.
