Those who died in a plane crash in Sudan on October 6, 2004, were Russian citizens, Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Yakovenko announced. As he said, the Russian Foreign Ministry has received information on the crash from the Russian Embassy to Sudan. The bodies of the four crewmembers were delivered to the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, where identification was made. Yakovenko expressed his condolences to the families of the dead crewmembers. A Russia-made Antonov-12 cargo plane run by the Sudanese air carrier Saria crashed in southern Sudan on October 6.
