The Moscow regional department of the Russian federal drug control service carried out a major operation on the liquidation of wild hemp crops in the Lukhovitsky district of the Moscow region.
The crops were discovered during the investigation of the activities of two drug dealers from Zaraisk, the information and PR group of the regional department told RIA Novosti.
"The crops covered the total area of 3 hectares. All in all, over 15 tons of marijuana were liquidated," RIA Novosti's interlocutor said.
According to him, the investigation will be completed soon and the drug dealers will go to trial in August.
The men gathered, dried, packed and sold drugs themselves. Three control purchases of marijuana were made and later marked banknotes were found with drug dealers, RIA Novosti's interlocutor added.
