Three workers were killed in an accident that occurred at the metallurgic plant in Cherepovets (the Vologda region, Russia's North-western Federal District). One worker was hospitalized in a grave condition, the regional emergencies department told RIA Novosti on the phone Wednesday.
The accident occurred in the metal rolling workshop. "The rope tore off and some 350 tons of melted cast iron poured from the foundry ladle," reported the department.
Rescuers dealing with the aftermath of the accident found three dead workers, while another was alive although heavily burnt. The injured was immediately taken to hospital.
