Roof of parking lot in Moscow fell. Eight vehicles buried under ruins

On February 28 at 10:40 am Msk the roof of the parking lot near "Metro" supermarket collapsed in Moscow.

Three wounded women have been hospitalized. Two more victims received medical treatment on the accident scene, said operational officer on duty for Moscow Administration of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations. There are no people under the ruins, said Press Secretary of Moscow Mayor Sergey Tsoi.

Mr. Tsoi sadi that eight vehicle had been buried under the ruins. Earlier editor of Moscow rescue service information agency Lyubov Kulagina named the figure of 50 vehicles under the ruins.

According to preliminary information, the roof collapsed because of much snow and ice on it.

The causes of the roof collapse are "technical", Sergey Tsoi said.
