Russian Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu has denied reports about the tectonic reasons of the February 14 Transvaal Park accident.
"The first inspection of the swimming pool bottom and the building's foundation has spotted no cracks there. Had there been any tectonic movements, they [cracks] would have appeared there," the minister said to journalists.
He continued that video surveillance had not registered the moment of the roof collapse because the cameras were focusing on the outside and in other halls of the aqua park at the time. Thereby, the minister denied some media reports about a videotape that had recorded the moment of the cave-in.
