Ten civilians were killed a result of an air strike by the US Air Force in the Afghan province of Uruzgan on January 17. Such are the results of a government commission investigation made public by "provisional" Afghan President Khamid Karzai.
The Pakistani state radio said Saturday that the president confirmed the death of ten civilians during the bombardment of a village by the U.S.
The US Command earlier said five armed militants were killed in the province of Uruzgan (native village of mullah Omar, Taliban spiritual leader).
Khamid Karzai repeatedly said Al Qaeda ringleader Osama bin Laden might be alive hiding in border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
As usual, Karzai expressed the hope that international terrorist No.1 will be seized as soon as possible.
