The Russian People's Friendship University dormitory fire killed 37 people, the Moscow Health Committee press service reported on Wednesday.
A student from Peru, who was in critical condition since the fire, died in City Hospital No. 31 at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Doctors said the student jumped from a window in an attempt to escape from the fire.
According to the official data of the Moscow Health Committee, as of 6 a.m. on Wednesday, 167 people (105 men and 62 women) are still hospitalized: nine are in critical condition; 33 are in serious condition; 80 are in fair condition; and 45 are in good condition.
Students from 34 countries died or were injured in the fire.
