Russian MIG-29 fighter missing in Armenia

A Russian MiG-29 jet fighter has disappeared in Armenia while making a training flight.

"At 12.53 the aircraft disappeared from radar monitors," Aleksandr Drobyshevsky, chief of the press service of the Russian Air Force, has told RIA Novosti.

Helicopters were immediately sent to search for the missing plane, while at 1.40 p.m. land search groups were dispatched to the possible crash area, said Drobyshevsky.
