A UAZ automobile was shelled in the Chechen capital Grozny. The shelling left four people, including a police patrol officer, wounded, RIA Novosti was told in the Chechen Interior Ministry.
"The car was shelled by unidentified persons from automatic weapons and under-barrel grenade launchers," a ministry spokesman said.
The driver and three passengers were injured. They were taken to hospital.
Investigation is underway. The criminals are being searched for.
