A Czech tourist died of a heart attack on the Kamchatka Peninsula in the Russian Far East. Yury Kubovy, a citizen of the Czech Republic, was taking part in the rafting on the local river of Bystraya together with a fourteen people group of his country-fellows.
In the evening of August 30, representatives of the Russian tourist firm, which organised the trip, asked the rescuers for help because of the heart attack of one of the tourists. But the rescuers could not help.
The body has been brought to the main city of the peninsula - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Now the p[oblem of sending the body to the Czech Republic is being solved.
This is the second Czech tourist who died on Kamchatka within the past month. On August 4, Miloslav Smilovsky from Prague, who was ascending the Klyuchevskoy Volcano, the biggest in Europe and Asia, died of a grave injury.
