Frontier guards of the Tajik-Afghan border detain 85 per cent of all drugs coming from Central Asia, the Federal Frontier Service of Russia reported.
"Though the Tajik-Afghan border is not the only way of smuggling Afghan drugs, in the recent years 85 per cent of the total amount of drugs confiscated in Central Asia have been detained here," said head of the drug control agency under the president of Tajikistan Major-General Rustam Nazarov. He made this statement on May 16th when his unit was visited by a delegation of EU and US border and police missions.
