Yet another militant arrested on the Georgian territory in August of 2002 with weapons on his hands has been extradited to Russia.
22-year-old Amirkhan Ligidov, a native of Kabardino-Balkaria, was convoyed to Pyatigorsk, Stavropol territory in an operation that crowned the joint efforts of regional offices of the Federal Security Service for the North Caucasus, North Ossetia and the State Security Ministry of Georgia.
According to law enforcers' information, Ligidov was a member of a terrorist formation, headed by Field Commander Ruslan Gelayev. He is the seventh of the 13 militants arrested by Georgian frontier guards to have been extradited to Russia.
