US and British Aircraft Bomb Residential District in Hill
On Tuesday, American and British aircraft bombed a residential district in the city of Hill in the Babil province approximately 100 km south of Baghdad. The Qatar-based satellite channel Al-Jazeera showed the casualties and reported on 33 civilians, including children, killed and about 310 people wounded in the air attack.
On Tuesday, Baghdad's southern suburbs and a number of districts in Basra were subjected to intensive air raids.
