On the night of Wednesday Israeli bulldozers razed several Palestinian houses in the As-Sapyam quarter in Rafah, a town in the Gaza Strip, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

According to the WAFA Palestine News Agency, three Israeli bulldozers destroyed the houses and uprooted a great number of olive trees.

The operation was carried out under cover of armoured equipment.

WAFA does not report about the reasons that had caused the Israelis to undertake that action
