Head of local administration of village of Grebenskaya murdered in Chechnya

In the Shelkovskoi district of Chechnya terrorists have murdered A.Shamsutdinov, head of administration of the village of Grebenskaya. RIA Novosti learned this on Thursday from the regional operational headquarters monitoring the counter-terror operation in the Northern Caucasus.

According to a representative of the headquarters, the body of the head of administration was discovered near the mosque in Lermontovskaya Street with numerous fire wounds. It has been established that the murderers had stolen from the man his identification card and the Makarov pistol that had been issued to him. The circumstances of the murder are being cleared up, and an investigation is being conducted.
