Russian borderguards at the Tajik-Afghan border killed two trespassers, reported the press service of the Russian borderguards in Tajikistan on Monday.
The press service pointed out that the night before, in the mountain section of the Moskovsky frontier detachment its servicemen noticed three trespassers who were going from Afghanistan to Tajikistan. When the frontier-guards tried to detain them the trespassers opened fire and then disappeared on Afghan territory.
An hour and a half later, the trespassers made another attempt to cross the Tajik-Afghan border. In the skirmish that followed the Russian frontier-guards killed two trespassers and destroyed their craft.
The press service also reported that on Sunday, June 23rd, 117 kilogrammes and 630 grammes of heroin and 900 grammes of hashish, detained earlier by Russian frontier-guards, were burned in the Panj frontier detachment in accordance with the established procedure and in the presence of a representative of the prefecture of the North-Western administrative district of Moscow and Russian and Tajik journalists.
