Two police officers and two servicemen of the Russian Interior Force have been wounded in rebel attacks in Chechnya. According to the Russian Interior Ministry, over the past 24 hours, there have been 6 rebel attacks on federal forces in various districts of Chechnya. The other day, an unidentified bandit opened fire on a checkpoint in the Zavodskoi district of the Chechen capital of Grozny. As a result, a driver and an Interior Ministry conscript were wounded and subsequently rushed to hospital. In the late hours of Wednesday, another policemen was wounded by fragmentation of a rocket launched at a checkpoint located on a motorway liking Kurchaloi and Avtury in the Kurchaloi district of Chechnya. Another conscript was lightly wounded in a booby-trap explosion. Federal forces stationed in the Staropromyslovsky district of Grozny and the towns of Urus-Martan and Vedeno have also come under hostile fire. No casualties have been reported. Each time federal units opened return fire.
