Several Acts Of Terror Thwarted In Chechnya

Several acts of terror have been thwarted in Chechnya over the past 24 hours. According to the Russian Interior Ministry's press centre, two of the acts were to be perpetrated in Grozny, capital of Chechnya. A powerful explosive device containing 10 fragmentation shells with electric detonators was defused in the Oktyabrsky district of Grozny. The explosive had been planted under a bridge. The police also found and defused a homemade explosive device installed near the city hall in the Leninsky district of Grozny. Another explosive containing 600 grams of TNT and clockwork was spotted and defused in the Vinogradnoye settlement near Grozny. Besides, an anti-tank mine planted on the side of the road near a local hospital was defused in the Vedeno settlement.
