Chechen Militants Are Preparing For Conducting Large-scale Armed Operations

Chechen separatists are preparing for conducting large-scale armed actions in the territory of the republic. As RIA Novosti was told on Friday in the regional operational headquarters for carrying out a counter-terrorist operation, the bandits have intensified of late their ideological work among the local inhabitants with the aim of drawing them in the ranks of militants. The activity of emissaries for recruiting militants was registered in the villages of Grozny (rural), Shali, Kurchaloi, Nozhai-Yurt and Vedeno districts. As a rule, they recruit young people at the age of 16-25. According to the operational data, terrorist training camps are being created in the mountainous regions of the republic where they are taught the methods of fighting battles and of mining and blasting.
