The Head Of The Chechen Administration Is Setting Up A Headquarters For Investigating Murders In The Republic

The head of the Chechen administration, Akhmad Kadyrov, has given instructions to set up a headquarters for investigating the murders of civilians performed by militants in the past few days. As Akhmad Kadyrov said in an interview given to RIA Novosti, he has already given appropriate instructions to the leadership of the law enforcement bodies of the Chechen Republic. Last night, the head of the teaching staff of local School No. 1, Akhmad Tovbulatov, was killed in the village of Valerik in the Achkhoi-Martan district. Unidentified persons shot him in his own house. The motives of the crime are not yet known, a criminal case has been launched and investigation is going on. The press service reported that Akhmad Tovbulatov was an ardent opponent of Wahhabism, a religious trend in Islam. He enjoyed great authority among the local population and was an Honoured Teacher of the Russian Federation.
