Leader Of Russian Liberal Democrats Leaves For Iraq To Celebrate Husayn's Birthday

On the invitation of the Iraqi leadership Vladimir Zhirinovsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia /LDPR/, will be on his visit to Baghdad from April 27 to May 6. In a RIA Novosti interview Zhirinovsky announced that he would join celebrations on the occasion of the birthday of President Saddam Husayn of Iraq. April 28, the day of Husayn's 64th birthday, is declared a national holiday in Iraq. According to Zhirinovsky, who will carry humanitarian medicaments for Iraqi children, he will have a meeting with Saddam Husayn and the country's leadership. On May 5-6 the vice-speaker will take part in an annual Baghdad conference in support of Iraq.
