Russian Security Council Secretary Worried By Intensification Of Terrorist Activities In Turkey

Vladimir Rushailo, Security Council Secretary of Russia, has expressed Moscow's concern over the intensification of terrorist activities in Turkey's territory. Talking to pressmen Thursday, Rushailo recalled the recent hijacking of a plane and the capture of a hotel in Turkey. Rushailo said that the Russian side holds information that "certain legal entities in Turkey sponsor extremist and terrorist organizations." The Security Council Secretary also noted that the terrorists continue their actions in Turkey, despite the whole series of meetings and negotiations held with Turkish authorities and despite the regular joint operations carried out by law-enforcement bodies of the two countries. Rushailo arrived in Yerevan to take part in a meeting of the Committee of Security Council Secretaries of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty.
