Information About Surnames Of Russian Citizens Taken Hostage In Istanbul Moscow

The surnames of the Russian citizens who are among the hostages taken by terrorists in an Istanbul hotel have become known. They are Sergei Arsenyev, Levan Merabishvili, Oleg Mikhailov and Alexei Kuzin - representatives of the management of the Karelsky Okatysh (Karel Pellet) joint-stock company (OAO). All of them arrived in Turkey to attend a three-day professional symposium on iron-ore raw materials which is opening in Istanbul on Monday. OAO Karelsky Okatysh which is situated at the town of Kostomuksha (the republic of Karelia in the north-west of Russia) is a specialised enterprise for extraction and processing of ferruginous quartzites. The enterprise exports its products to Finland, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Poland, and Norway. The company cooperates with Erdemir, a Turkish firm.
