For half an hour firemen were putting out a fire Monday in the central department store, or GUM, on Red Square, right opposite the Kremlin. As RIA Novosti knows from Moscow's lawenforcements, engaged in the extinguishing of the fire were about 30 teams of firemen. The fire had broke out on the store's garret. A duty officer at the fire-fighting service "02" received a call from the department store at about 6 p.m. Moscow time.
