A Chechen citizen detained on suspicion of kidnapping

A citizen of Chechnya was detained on suspicion of kidnapping in the vicinity of Ingushetia-Chechnya (North Caucasian republics of Russia) border, on the Kavkaz check point, by local secret services. A 50-year old Salambek Nikayev from Urus-Martan was searched for kidnapping a 25-year old citizen of Ingushetia Timur Sagov. was kidnapped in October 1998 and taken to Grozny, where for a long time he was kept in an apartment of a multistorey building. When trying to escape Sagov jumped out of the window and received numerous traumas. The detained kidnapper, Salambek Nikayev is also being suspected of other crimes.
