Riyadh Demands End to War
The government of Saudi Arabia demands immediate end to war in Iraq.
At a government session chaired by King Fahd, the Saudi Cabinet adopted a statement urging the United Nations to interfere and put an end to the suffering of the Iraqi people.
Baghdad occupies a special place in the history of Arabs and Islam, its historical and cultural heritage must be preserved, says the document.
