The squad leader of the Novgorod OMON was killed and four men wounded when the "Ural" lorry was blown up by a ground bomb in Chechnya. This was reported on Friday by the Interior Department of the Novgorod Region. The explosion damaged mostly the lorry's cab where police captain Andrei Volkov, squad leader, was sitting. He died of the received wounds. Another four men--three members of the Novgorod OMON and a police warrant officer from Nizhny Novgorod - were slightly wounded.
