Installation Of Kursk Attached To Giant-4, On Pontoons Launched

The works on installation of the Kursk nuclear submarine attached to the Giant-4 barge, on the pontoons for subsequent installation of the vessels into the floating dock located in the Roslyakovo village near Murmansk, have been launched. According to the Northern Fleet Staff, radiation monitoring and examination of links, grippers and sub's hull were conducted the whole night. The press conference where Chief of the press service at the Northern Fleet Vladimir Navrotsky will report on the pontoons' installation, has been scheduled for about 1:00 p. m., Moscow time.
