Head Rabbi of Russia Berl Lazar arrived in Sochi Sunday morning in connection with October 4 crash of the Russian airliner Tu-154 taking 78 lives. Berl Lazar left the airport for the city morgue to meet the representatives of the Sochi headquarters of the Israeli Embassy in Russia, the Israeli forensic experts and military rabbis of the Israeli Defence Force, Borukh Gorin, head of Berl Lazar's press service told RIA Novosti. Eight bodies of 13 recovered were identified. Then Berl Lazar met the victims' families arrived from the CIS, including from the Russian cities of Novosibirsk, Omsk, Kemerovo and from Ukraine. The airliner with the Israeli relatives of the victims on board is expected to fly to Sochi Sunday afternoon. Most of the identified bodies are to be buried in Novosibirsk. Berl Lazar is to meet Sochi authorities and participate in the mourning ceremony organized by the Jewish Community of Sochi Sunday.
