Russian Deputies Call On Israeli Colleagues To Take Relevant Steps To Settle Conflict With Palestine

A group of Russian Duma (lower chamber of Russian parliament) Deputies called on their Israeli colleagues to put pressure on their government to take the relevant steps necessary to settle the conflict with Palestine. The Deputies were in Palestine from October 15 till October 19. They met with Yasser Arafat, the head of the Palestinian National Authority, mayors of Ramallah, Bethlehem and the Governor of the Gaza Strip. During a press conference in the State Duma the Deputies stated that the contacts made with Palestinian officials led them to believe that the Palestinians would fulfil all accepted obligations. The Russian Deputies believe that now everything depends on the Israeli side.
