Head of the Northern Fleet press service Vladimir Navrotsky announced today that 6 Granit cruise missiles had been recovered from the Kursk nuclear submarine over the past 24 hours. According to him, work to recover the remainder - the vessel's main weapons - is continuing. Special cranes are being used to conduct the operation. They lift the missiles from the Kursk's silos, which are on both sides of the submarine, and then transfer them to special transport containers that will then take them to a base for storage.
