Vice-chairman of the People's Assembly of the republic Arsen Kammayev and head of Promstroibank Abdulkhalik Musayev have been murdered in Daghestan, a North-Caucasian republic neighbouring on Chechnya, RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the Interior Ministry of Daghestan on Wednesday. Late on Tuesday night unknown persons opened automatic fire from an automobile near Arsen Kammayev's house. The vice-speaker of the parliament of Daghestan and the head of the bank were mortally wounded and died at a hospital. The car used by the criminals was found burnt-down. A Kalashnikov submachine-gun which was listed as stolen in the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, was discovered. As many as 14 empty cartridge cases were found at the scene of the crime, the press service officials said.
