Court Proceedings Have Been Instituted Against 40 Servicemen Since August 2001 For Violation Of Law In Chechnya

Court proceedings have been instituted against 40 servicemen since August 2001 for violation of law in Chechnya, first deputy prosecutor general of Russia Yuri Biryukov said on Wednesday during the parliamentary hearings in the State Duma. Replying to the questions put by the State Duma deputy, Aslambek Aslakhanov concerning the complaints about the violation of law by Russian servicemen in Chechnya, Yuri Biryukov said that these crimes are being disclosed.
