Six militants were killed in Chechnya over the past 24 hours. According to the provisional press center of the Russian interior ministry to the North Caucasus, a group of five people armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a shell was spotted by police outside the district center of Shali and ordered to lay down weapons. The group reacted by opening fire on policemen and trying to escape but was destroyed by response fire. Another militant was shot down in the neighbourhood of the district centre of Vedeno after an attempt to attack police officers who were trying to detain him. Two other militants, both armed with Kalashnikovs, were wounded in the clash. Police haven't yet identified the militants.
