Hamid Kazai, the former Afghan Foreign Minister and a prominent Pushtun leader, has called on the international community to help the Afghan people fight foreign mercenaries, primarily Osama bin Laden's fighters. Afghanistan "should not be a shelter for terrorists," Kazai stated in an interview with the Pakistani Nation newspaper. Hamid Kazai, aged 46, is an advisor to the former Afghan King Mohammad Zahir Shah and believes that this leader should return to the country. In late October, Kazai returned to Afghanistan to consolidate anti-Taliban forces.
