On board of the airbus A-300 of the American Airlines which crashed on Monday near the New York airport 255 persons were found -- 246 passengers and nine crewmen, reports the ABC television company. According to the Pentagon, no emergency signals arrived from its board. For security considerations, all the three airports of New York, bridges and tunnels between Manhattan and other parts of New York are closed. Most flights are rerouted to other airports, ABC reports. According to CNN, the plane collapsed in the Queens area, where four buildings are burning and, arguably, a large gas station was found. Clouds of smoke are rising on the site. 250 firemen, 44 crews, are working in the area. Two seats of fire are observed: one of the plane's engines has fallen off. The plane was performing flight 587 from Boston to Santo Domingo /the Dominican Republic/. The catastrophe happened 15 kilometers away from the JFK airport at approximately 17:00, Moscow time /about 09:00, local time/. The American authorities have no information, so far, of an act of terrorism.
