Mahmoud Abu Hanoud in charge of the Hamas ultra-radical Islamic organization's military wing was killed not far from Nablus on the West Bank. According to a Hamas spokesman, Hanoud was killed as a result of a large-scale missile attack involving Israeli helicopters. His car was reportedly hit by five air-to-surface missiles. Two other Hamas militants, including his closest aide, were also killed.
