Monday morning, the US aviation for three hours delivered strikes on the Taliban's positions in Kandahar in the south-west of Afghanistan. According to information of the Saudi news agency SPA, the fire-support aircraft AC-130 participated in the air strikes. The Taliban's anti-aircraft weapons returned fire. The air raids began after the landing of more than 1,000 US rangers in southern Afghanistan. At the same time, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic State of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah said that the forces of the Northern Alliance had, in effect, blocked "in one region" spiritual leader of the Taliban movement Mullah Muhammad Omar and international terrorist Osama bin Laden.
