Large Quantity Of Ammunition Confiscated In Chechnya Over Past 24 Hours

4 grenade-launchers, 29 hand grenades and rounds for a grenade-launcher, 3,938 cartridges, more than 1 kg of explosives and 3 kg of narcotics have been confiscated in Chechnya over the past 24 hours. Special operations were carried out in the cities of Grozny, Argun and Gudermes and other populated areas, RIA Novosti was told in the law-enforcement bodies of the republic on Wednesday. Six operational-search and preventive operations were carried out in Chechnya over the past 24 hours. The law-enforcers have checked 24,264 people and inspected 14,330 motor vehicles. As many as 565 administrative violations of law have been revealed. Seven illegal underground oil mini-refineries and a home-made explosive device have been destroyed.
