Two terrorists were shot dead during an attack by Chechen rebels on a federal convoy in Grozny yesterday. A source in the consolidated division of federal forces in the North Caucasus reported to RBC that a radio-controlled explosive device went off on a street in the Chechen capital when the convoy, which included an Ural car and a car with members of the military governor's office, was passing by. After the explosion, rebels open fired on the convoy with automatic weapons. The federal convoy returned fire and repelled the attack. All in all, one explosion and four attacks on positions of federal forces were registered in Chechnya in the past 24 hours.
