Eight rebels were killed in combat with federal forces in the Novaya Zhizn village in the Kurchaloy region of Chechnya. According to reports of the press service of the Russian Interior Ministry, interior servicemen were attacked by rebels while conducting a special operation. As combat was over, a large arms depot with nine RPGs, two rifles, over 70 mines, around 6,000 rounds of ammunition, 40 TNT blocks and more than 820 grams of plastic was discovered, from where the rebels were shooting. The rebels were using 10 RPGs, four Kalashnikov machine-guns and three hunting guns in combat. They are being identified now. No casualties were reported among federal servicemen.
