Hamas Says About Continuation Of Its Military Operations Against Israel

The Palestinian terrorist organisation HAMAS said on Saturday that its decision to cease military actions in Israel and mortar shelling of Jewish settlements does not apply to the West Bank of the Jordan River and the Gaza Strip. The statement by the HAMAS military arm (Iz a Din al-Kassam battalions) stresses that if Israel continues to shell Palestinian cities and kill Palestinian activists and heads, HAMAS will reserve the right to continue resistance to the occupation on all the Palestinian territories. Meanwhile, the leaders of the extremist organisation Islamic Jihad who are outside the territory of the Palestinian Authority have recently expressed their disagreement with the statement by some members of that organization about their intention to observe the decision by head of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat on a cease-fire. Under this decision, actions by Palestinian suicide bombers are prohibited inside the Jewish state.
