An Extremist Organisation Livo Was Founded in Afghanistan

The extremist organisation Livo, which has united the religious terrorist leaders of several Central Asian countries, was founded in Afghanistan in May 2001.

This has been reported by the newspaper Vecherny Bishkek yesterday with reference to the informed sources in the Kirghiz National Security Service.

According to the data of the newspaper, this was stated to the Kirghiz law-enforcement bodies during the investigation by an international terrorist, one of the leaders of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, Sheraly Akbotoyev, who was sentenced the other day by the Batken regional court of Kirghizia to the maximum term of imprisonment - 25 years.

According to Akbotoyev, the new organisation was created on the personal initiative of the Taliban leader, mullah Mohammed Omar. Field commander Juma Namangani, an Uzbek, was appointed head of the Liva organisation. The Supreme Council of this organisation allegedly included mullah Omar himself, leader of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan Tahir Yuldashev, leader of the Xinnjiang separatists Hasan, Taliban commanders Ubvaidullo and Aimany, as well as Osama bin Laden.
